We are pleased to announce Lara Joseph will be presenting three workshops for COFOAF.
June 18th- Parrot Behavior- 7 Hours of in-depth Parrot Behavior Issues, identifying why they exist, working with tools in changing the behaviors, and addressing individual issues. Class Size-25 max
July 30th- Parrot Training Workshop- 7 hours of in-depth parrot training, learn the “how to’s” in working with positive reinforcement training, find out where to begin with your bird, have the opportunity to train a bird in the workshop - 2-3 birds will be on site to train. Class size 16 max
August 27th- Enrichment- 7 hours of in-depth parrot information on enrichment, how enrichment impacts the behavior of our companion parrots, working with enrichment to modify behavior issues, learn how to teach your bird to forage and how to increase their levels of foraging. Class size 17 max
About Lara:
"Specializes in avian behavior, training, and enrichment. I focus a lot of my attention toward working with and modifying behavior issues. Much of my time is spent writing, training, and traveling giving presentations and workshops on behavior and training. I am the director of training and enrichment for the avian division of a wildlife rehabilitation center in Whitehouse, Ohio called Nature's Nursery. It is there that I also sit on the board of Trustees."
$100/Per person per show reserves your seat.
Coffee and Donuts will be provided in the morning and Beverages and Lunch will be provided as well.
All Workshops will be held in Powell Ohio, at Oxford Enrichment Center. Hours for all Workshops will be 9:30am to 4:30 pm in classroom style seating. Payment in advance will reserve your seat. We expect these to fill quickly. The class sizes are limited (see above) and we are co-sponsoring with MAEBS so seats can go quickly. COFOAF members are eligible for a presale from May 3rd through May 10th before enrollment will be opened to others.
